Parev is the distorted version of Paraav, which means a temporary rest house. It is believed that Shri Ram, Laxman and Vishwamitra ji had made their temporary rest house here. It is near the Koilver bridge. The Mohaneswar Mahadev temple is also on a short distance. Some people believe that the trio had crossed the river Sonbhadra from Trigana Ghat. The distance between both these places is about 5 km.
