It is believed that an ancient Shiva temple was located in Maihar
forest. At this place Shri Ram had worshipped Lord Shiva. An
ancient temple is very close to Maihar. A Shri Ram temple built by
Shri Ram Rajendra Das is in Maihar Itself.
