When Shri Ram had taken the oath to finish all the demons, he had lifted his hand upwards and for that, he had to put his 'Sarang' bow on the earth. Therefore, the place is called Sarangdhar. A unique Banyan tree exists at this place whose leaves use to turn automatically into bowl shape. As per the saints the place under this tree is considered to be the best for meditation.Â
