The place is about 1/2 km from Lakhneshwar Diha on the bank of old Saryu ji. It is a folklore that once upon a time, the confluence of rivers Ganga and Saryu was at this point. All the three had a night stay here before the confluence point. Even today, people cross the Saryu river from here.
