A beautiful place located in a forest is called Amaravati. It is about 6-7 Km. from Atri ashram. It was the Taposthali (place of meditation in forest) of king Ambreesh, an ancestor of Shri Ram. Shri Ram had taken rest here .This is the same place where Viraadh had attacked Shri Ram.
