t is believed that king Dashrath with the blessings of Ma Saraswati, had taken a vow to perform putrayeshti Yagna with the objective of begetting a son. Rishi Vashishta was the source of inspiration for this sankalp. Thus king Dashrath as well as Lord Ram & Sita had visited this place. Shri Ram Mandir (temple) was built here in the memory of aforesaid events but it is now totally damaged.
